Kaitlin Hammond
Child Programs Manager

Kaitlin Hammond is a registered dietitian and serves the North Texas Food Bank as Child Programs Coordinator. She oversees three child feeding programs including Kids Cafe, Food 4 Kids and the Summer Food Service Program.

Kaitlin obtained a B.S. in Food and Nutrition from Seattle Pacific University in 2002.  She moved to Texas later that year and completed her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center.  During her internship she spent one week at the North Texas Food Bank and fell in love with the work and mission of the organization.  She joined the North Texas Food Bank the following year as an AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) for the Operation Frontline nutrition education program.  Kaitlin was hired after her year of service and continues to offer her expertise in nutrition to enhance Food Bank programs and educate others about the Hunger-Obesity Paradox that is increasingly evident in our country as people ask, “If our nation is so fat, how can there possibly be a problem of hunger?”
