Savor Dallas Supports The North Texas Food Bank with Special Ticket Offer

Savor Dallas, an International Experience of Wine, Food, Spirits and the Arts, will donate a portion of ticket sales from the March 7-8 event purchased by friends and supporters of the North Texas Food Bank.  The region's premier wine and food event announced the campaign for the holiday season.

The special program, which is debuting this year, allows friends and supporters of the North Texas Food Bank who are purchasing 10 or more of tickets to the weekend spectacular to designate the NTFB as the beneficiary of the ticket purchase.  Savor Dallas will give back 15 percent of the total purchase to the Food Bank.

Companies can take advantage of this special offer and benefit the North Texas Food Bank by calling 1-866-277-7920 or e-mailing info@SavorDallas.com and referencing the North Texas Food Bank in their purchase.

“We are pleased to offer this gift back to the community and help the North Texas Food Bank, the organization that is doing so much for hunger relief in our community,” said Jim White, Savor Dallas co-founder.  “In addition to this new outreach, we will continue to support our worthy causes:  the North Texas Food Bank, the Arts Magnet Building Campaign for Booker T. Washington High School, and the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association Culinary Scholarship program through a donation from our overall ticket sales and with the new Savor Dallas cookbook.”

Savor Dallas will publish a cookbook in 2008, featuring North Texas chefs’ favorite "at home" recipes. Retailing for $14.95, all profits from the cookbook sales will be used to fund culinary scholarships administered by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association.  Savor Dallas has generously contributed to the causes of fighting hunger, training aspiring young chefs and supporting the arts since its founding in 2004.

Savor Dallas 2007 was attended by more than 4,000 people from Dallas/Fort Worth, throughout Texas and 14 other states across the country.

Savor Dallas, the unique wine and food extravaganza, happens on Friday, March 7, 2008 and continues through Saturday, March 8, 2008. Savor Dallas is Dallas’ international experience of wine, food, spirits and the arts, with delicious wine and food events scheduled in several beautiful downtown Dallas locations.

A Savor Dallas “Friday evening ticket” features two great events with one ticket price. Meyerson Symphony Center, followed by the "Victory Park Wine and Food Celebration".  A Savor Dallas "Friday evening ticket" will also allow attendees to enjoy a Celebration in Victory Park's AT&T Plaza, including a film screening with AFI DALLAS.

Follow the fun on Saturday, March 8 when the highly anticipated "International Grand Tasting" moves downtown to the beautiful Plaza of the Americas and Westin City Center Hotel (the official host hotel for Savor Dallas). More than 60 of North Texas' top chefs will showcase their signature recipes, along with over 500 premium wines, spirits and beers.
